Job Summary

This role is based in the Computing Center of the University of Hildesheim, focusing on establishing and managing the university's participation in the 'Lower Saxony Digital Science Support Space (DS3)' network. The specialist will act as the central point of contact, supporting researchers with High-Performance Computing (HPC), data-driven research methods, and Research Software Engineering. Key responsibilities include analyzing existing structures, capturing internal university needs, and communicating these requirements to the DS3 network. The position involves conceptualizing and implementing strategies for utilizing HPC offers, providing technical consulting to researchers on HPC infrastructures and AI tools (such as LLMs), and developing documentation and training materials.
