Job Summary

This role seeks a Senior High-Voltage Substation Engineer to take charge of the responsible planning and development of primary layouts for critical high-voltage substations. Day-to-day tasks include drafting technical specifications for primary equipment, performing detailed engineering calculations related to load capacity, short-circuit forces, grounding, and impressed voltages, and generating comprehensive material lists and protection requirements. The engineer will lead projects, ensuring strict adherence to technical requirements and DACH standards while managing budget and schedule constraints. A key aspect of the role is close collaboration with international design teams, specifically in the UK, and contributing technical expertise across all planning phases, from conception to execution. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and possesses extensive professional experience in designing high-voltage transmission systems, particularly within the DACH region. Success requires fluent German and good English skills, along with a willingness to travel for project sites and client meetings in locations like Basel and London.
