Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Pharmaceutical Scientist to drive the future of drug development through innovative approaches, focusing specifically on Manufacturing Science Drug Substance. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing downstream work packages, troubleshooting process transfer and lifecycle projects, and generating essential documentation for regulatory submissions and stakeholder reporting. The scientist will develop and implement concepts for drug substance manufacturing, ensuring alignment across internal networks and international partners. Key requirements include a PhD with initial professional experience or a Master's degree with significant industry experience in biotechnology or chemistry, coupled with deep technical knowledge in downstream processing, mammalian cell processes, and statistical approaches like Design of Experiments (DoE). This hybrid position offers a 37.5-hour week, variable performance-related pay, and the opportunity for professional development within an innovative pharmaceutical company, making it ideal for a collaborative leader with strong communication skills in an international setting.

Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, or Chemistry

Experience

  • Initial professional experience with a Doctorate degree
  • Several years of relevant industry experience with a Master's degree (ideally in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, or Chemistry)
  • Prior experience in process transfer or commercial manufacturing is advantageous
  • Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams without direct disciplinary authority
