Automotive Wiring Harness Designer | Konstrukteur Bordnetz (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role is centered on the development and design of complex on-board network systems and wiring harnesses, utilizing specialized CAD systems. The designer will be instrumental in creating robust concepts for harness production, optimizing existing network architectures through technical modifications, and identifying potential cost reductions. A key aspect of the job involves serving as the primary technical contact for both customers and production facilities. Daily tasks include generating and maintaining critical technical documentation, such as specifications (Lasten- and Pflichtenhefte), presentations, protocols, and serial production documents. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification (Master Craftsman or Technician). Success requires professional experience in the automotive wiring harness or general design environment, proficiency in CAD systems, and negotiation-level fluency in both German and English, coupled with strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
