Job Summary
This role involves the conception, development, and realization of IT Business Solutions across various departments within the Technical Relief Agency (THW), supporting critical functions like Volunteering, Training, and Operations Support. The specialist will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes, conducting requirements management, and planning and coordinating complex IT projects from initial demand assessment through implementation and operation. Key daily tasks include managing external service providers, ensuring system administration and monitoring, and providing 2nd and 3rd-level support for IT applications. Candidates must possess a strong background in IT, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver stable, future-oriented IT solutions for humanitarian and administrative processes.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-related field (for EG 10-11); OR Completed vocational training (minimum 3 years) in IT, preferably as an IT Specialist for System Integration (for EG 9a-9b)
Experience
- Professional experience in analyzing, modeling, and optimizing business processes
- Knowledge of IT project management (Beneficial)
- For EG 10-11: Six years of documented professional experience in IT (if degree is non-IT related)
- For EG 9a-9b: Six years of documented professional experience in IT (if vocational training is non-IT related)

- Willingness to travel occasionally; Willingness to work outside usual hours and be reachable when required (e.g., during operations); Consent to undergo a security clearance check (SÜG); Diversity competence required.
