This role involves ensuring the operational safety and maintenance of critical water management facilities, including dams, flood protection structures, and flowing waters (1st order). Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring structures, managing water resources using PC technology, performing maintenance on technical equipment like shut-off devices and quality measurement stations, and executing various measurement and control tasks. A key component of the job is carrying out maintenance and repair work on infrastructure and performing landscape maintenance. The technician must also be prepared for operational duties during extreme water situations and active flood defense. Candidates must possess a completed vocational training in hydraulic engineering or a comparable technical field, along with specific heavy vehicle driving licenses (Class B, C, and CE) and certification for operating chainsaws and brush cutters.
