Job Summary

This IT Service Specialist role involves the comprehensive administration and operation of critical end-user and core IT systems within a Higher Education institution. You will be responsible for managing the central Client Management Platform, overseeing the rollout and maintenance of PC pools and individual workstations. A significant part of the role includes administering the Identity Management System (IDM), managing user accounts, and handling the technical administration of central printing systems and the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Furthermore, you will coordinate external service providers and act as a key contact for general 1st Level Support. The ideal candidate possesses a completed vocational training or degree in Informatics or a related field, coupled with professional experience in client management, particularly in large Microsoft environments. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems is essential. This is a challenging, fixed-term (2 years) full-time position offering flexible working hours adapted to the university schedule, requiring high commitment, structured work, and excellent German language skills (C2).
