Job Summary

The Energy Manager will be instrumental in establishing and advancing the energy management system at the OTH Regensburg, a large University of Applied Sciences in Bavaria. Key responsibilities include building a comprehensive measurement infrastructure for energy monitoring and reporting, analyzing consumption patterns in facilities, and developing strategies to optimize energy efficiency, particularly through the building management system (BMS). The role supports the introduction of renewable energy technologies and aims for EMAS certification. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Energy, Environmental, or Supply Engineering, coupled with knowledge of ISO 50001 and environmental management systems like EMAS. This is a crucial, part-time (50%) fixed-term position until the end of 2027, offering an opportunity to significantly impact the institution's sustainability goals and compliance with the German Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG).

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Supply Engineering, or a comparable scientific or technical field

Experience
