Job Summary

This role involves driving the downstream process development for recombinant cells and proteins within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors. The Scientist will be responsible for the independent planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments, adhering strictly to Quality by Design principles. Key daily tasks include handling and processing various samples, recombinant cells, and cell culture media, as well as contributing to the design of experimental studies, such as Design of Experiments (DoEs). The successful candidate must possess a degree in (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry, or a related natural science field, coupled with professional experience in downstream processes and relevant analytical methods like preparative chromatography and filtration. Expertise in laboratory equipment for chromatography and flow cytometry, alongside proficiency in statistical analysis software, is essential. This position offers long-term stability and flexibility, allowing the professional to significantly contribute to complex development projects.

Education

Experience

  • Experience in downstream processes
  • Knowledge of various analytical methods or preparative work (e.g., preparative chromatography, filtration, High-Throughput DSP development)
  • Experience in handling samples (procurement, collection, preparation, and distribution)
