Job Summary

This leadership role within the Facility Management department at the University of Saarland requires an experienced technical professional to manage the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) section. Key responsibilities include the continuous operation, maintenance, and prompt fault resolution for all HVAC systems, conveying technology, and the district heating network. The Head of HVAC Systems is also responsible for leading staff, overseeing modernization projects, and managing conversion work related to building technology. Candidates must hold a Master Craftsman certification, Technician qualification, or a degree in Supply Engineering or a comparable field, complemented by multi-year professional experience in the service sector. Essential knowledge includes familiarity with relevant legal and normative standards in building technology, adjacent trades like Measurement, Control, and Regulation (MCR) and electrical systems, and proficiency in standard EDV programs like MS Office. The position is indefinite, full-time, and requires a willingness to participate in on-call duties.

Required Skills

Education

Master Craftsman certification, Technician qualification, or a completed degree (Bachelor or Diplom FH equivalent) in Supply Engineering or comparable fields.
