Job Summary

The municipality of Saarwellingen is seeking a dedicated Grant Funding Manager to join the Finance Department as a permanent, full-time employee. This vital role involves overseeing the entire grant lifecycle, from acquisition and application to ongoing project management and controlling. Key responsibilities include actively seeking new funding opportunities (Fördermittelakquise), preparing detailed grant applications, developing subsidy and funding strategies, and providing expert legal guidance on funding matters to internal departments and political bodies. The ideal candidate must possess a background in public administration or business administration, demonstrated experience in project and financial management (a plus), and practical knowledge of subsidy, procurement, and budgetary law. Success in this role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a complex public finance environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed advanced training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt, equivalent to Administrative Course II), or qualification for the higher-level civil service career path in general administration, or a degree in administrative or business management, or equivalent qualification at least at Level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework (DQR).

Experience

  • Experience in grant funding management (advantageous)

  • Practical knowledge of subsidy, procurement, and budgetary law (desirable)
