Job Summary

The Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Restitution Specialist Department. This crucial role involves the conception, programming, and continuous development of a hybrid cloud-based Data Preparation Tool. This tool is essential for processing and enriching archival data for ingestion into the German Digital Library (Archivportal-D), focusing specifically on the history of restitution for National Socialist injustice. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring information security integrity according to BSI standards, coordinating data-related processes, and integrating machine learning procedures. The ideal candidate holds a Master's level degree in Computer Science, possesses several years of professional software development experience, and has deep knowledge of developing web applications, ideally using Python. Experience with Kubernetes and version control systems like Git/GitLab is mandatory, alongside excellent communication skills in both German and English to coordinate with external stakeholders and project partners.
