Job Summary

This specialist role focuses on ensuring the highest safety standards for the interim storage of irradiated fuel elements, contributing significantly to Germany's sustainable nuclear waste management. The core responsibilities involve conducting, documenting, and reviewing complex nuclear design calculations for transport and storage containers. The incumbent will characterize nuclear fuels and waste, apply and further develop calculation methods such as SCALE or MCNP, and prepare comprehensive technical reports for regulatory authorities and expert reviewers. Key qualifications include a successfully completed degree in Physics, Engineering, or Geosciences (a doctorate is desirable), coupled with extensive professional experience in neutron and gamma radiation transport calculations. Required Skills

Education
