Job Summary

This role involves the crucial assembly, installation, and maintenance of railway power supply systems, primarily focusing on traction power infrastructure. The technician will be responsible for setting up and commissioning converter stations (16.7 Hz) and DC substations used for suburban, underground, and tram networks. Key daily tasks include thorough testing and documentation of installations, performing fault analysis, and resolving malfunctions post-commissioning. Candidates must possess a completed electrical engineering qualification, ideally as an Industrial Electronics Technician, coupled with several years of professional experience in railway and national power facility installation and commissioning. Expertise in medium voltage switching authorization and familiarity with AC/DC switchgear, transformers, frequency converters, and grid protection technology are essential. The position requires participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation and involves travel, mainly within North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and occasionally throughout Germany.

Completed qualification in the electrical engineering field, ideally as an Industrial Electronics Technician

Experience
