This position requires a dedicated Customer Support Engineer to join Airbus Secure Land Communications, focusing on providing advanced communication solutions for sectors like public safety and defense. The core responsibilities involve the full lifecycle management of virtual and physical Linux servers, including setup, installation, and ongoing maintenance using technologies such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and hardware like HP Synergy and HP 3PAR-Storage. A significant part of the role is acting as 2nd Level Support, handling Incident Management, analyzing complex disruptions for Problem Management, and participating in Operative Release Management for Core and Radio Networks. Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science or a relevant IT professional qualification, coupled with strong expertise in network technology, TCP/IP, switching, routing, and firewall concepts. This role demands fluency in both German and English, offering a chance to contribute to mission-critical mobile communication networks globally.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician, IT System Management Assistant, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in setting up, installing, and maintaining virtual and physical Linux servers
