Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the operational readiness and maintenance of primary-side substation facilities, including their interfaces with secondary, protection, and control systems. The specialist will independently conduct inspections and maintenance, resolve defects, and lead work groups, coordinating with external companies. A key aspect is performing switching operations for maintenance and issuing work permits, while actively participating in functional tests and ensuring high-quality work. This position offers the chance to continuously develop expertise in collaboration with specialists, take on technical leadership, and potentially advance into further management responsibilities within 50Hertz, a company committed to the energy transition.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electrical Engineering Specialist. Master or Technician degree (advantageous, or willingness to acquire).
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering
- Experience in handling SAP (advantageous)
- Knowledge of parameterization and testing software for protection and control technology (advantageous)
- Knowledge of extra-high voltage grid operations and substation technology (advantageous)
Languages
Additional
- Driver's License Class B required.
