This role involves working as a Research Associate focused on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) processes within clinical immunology research, specifically relating to patient-centric cell and gene therapies. Day-to-day tasks include planning, establishing, and implementing GMP-compliant processes, supporting the validation and documentation of manufacturing procedures according to EU-GMP guidelines and national regulations (AMG, AMWHV), and ensuring rigorous quality assurance. The associate will actively participate in coordinating scientific projects in translational immunology, developing new methods for cell-based therapies, and assisting with Phase I/II clinical trials. Key requirements include a university degree in a natural science or medical field (e.g., Biology, Pharmacy), and professional experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences or Medicine (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field). Doctorate (PhD, Dr. rer. nat., or Dr. med.) desirable, or near completion.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a GMP-regulated environment (manufacturing, quality assurance, validation, process development, or quality management)
  • Experience with relevant legal and regulatory requirements (AMG, AMWHV, EU-GMP Guide)
  • Interest in translational research and interdisciplinary cooperation

Additional

  • Temporary contract duration (initially 2 years). Willingness to cooperate regionally and nationally, specifically with the Fraunhofer IZI Leipzig. Must be willing to acquire good German language skills (at least B2 level) if not already possessed.
