Job Summary

This role involves taking a central position in plant construction, specifically focusing on planning and developing robust automation systems for drinking and wastewater treatment facilities. Key responsibilities include the programming and implementation of SPS (PLC) and SCADA systems, conducting crucial tests like Loop-Checks, and overseeing system commissioning to ensure flawless functionality. The engineer/technician will also provide essential on-site and remote maintenance services, coordinate technical details directly with clients, and train operating and maintenance personnel. Furthermore, the role requires the creation of necessary technical documentation. Candidates must possess an Engineering degree or Technician qualification in Electrical or Automation Technology, coupled with multi-year experience in SPS programming, particularly using TIA-Portal and S7, and familiarity with visualization systems like WinCC. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a leading role in optimizing high-quality automation systems within a dynamic team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Technology, or corresponding advanced training as a certified Technician.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional practice in SPS (PLC) programming, especially with TIA-Portal and S7
  • Foundational knowledge in handling visualization systems (WinCC, HMI/SCADA)
  • Experience in Process, Measurement, and Control Technology (Desirable)
  • Experience in drinking water, wastewater, or industrial water treatment (Desirable)
