Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Commissioning Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering to join a team focusing on rail vehicle systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include the rigorous testing and commissioning of rail vehicles according to detailed instructions. A core function is troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic failures using technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and specifications, including analyzing issues related to embedded software and climate control systems. The ideal candidate holds a completed qualification as an Electrician or Electrical Technician and possesses the ability to independently operate complex machinery after initial instruction. This position requires meticulous documentation of all testing and error resolution processes, including maintaining logs and error lists. Candidates must be comfortable working with electrically active components, often in confined spaces and at heights, while strictly adhering to all safety and EHS regulations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or degree as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, or similar qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in testing and diagnosing complex systems, preferably rail vehicles
  • Professional experience working with electrically active components and devices
  • Experience in error analysis based on technical schematics
