Job Summary

Join Stadler, a leader in mobility solutions, as a Software Engineer specializing in railway safety systems. You will be responsible for the development and rigorous implementation of software solutions for electronic interlocking systems (ESTW), ensuring adherence to the highest international safety standards. A core part of your role involves analyzing and modeling safety logic based on specific railway requirements and guaranteeing conformity with critical CENELEC norms (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129). You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate safety software into the overall system architecture, documenting and verifying development steps according to normative specifications. This position demands a strong technical background, proficiency in high-level programming, and a structured, reliable approach to complex engineering challenges within a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Traffic Engineering, or comparable professional qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience and fundamental knowledge in railway safety systems and associated safety logic
  • Experience applying CENELEC norms (EN 5012x series, potentially EN 50716) in practice
  • Proficiency in configuration and requirements management systems
  • Experience with high-level programming languages (C, C++, Pascal, ST/SCL) or graphical languages (FBD)
