Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT Administrator dedicated to ensuring the efficient and stable operation of the Virtual Mailroom system, a critical e-Government application for the State of Bavaria. Day-to-day responsibilities involve maintaining the platform on Linux and Windows servers, adhering to BSI Basic Protection standards, and producing comprehensive operating documentation. You will be responsible for implementing and running OSCI and XTA platforms, actively consulting internal and external clients on system integration, and driving the continuous development of the application architecture. A key technical focus includes the conception and implementation of containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes. Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree in IT or possess equivalent vocational training combined with multi-year professional experience in the required areas. Strong German language skills are mandatory for documentation and advisory tasks.
