Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the seamless operation and reliable administration of city-wide browser systems for the Stuttgart municipal government's IT department. The IT Engineer will be responsible for the professional conception and design of browser lifecycles, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services through design, testing, and operation. Key daily tasks include providing 2nd-level support in the browser environment, assisting Citizen Developers with web technology inquiries, and translating technical requirements into software engineering solutions, especially in the web context. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field and brings initial experience in problem analysis, concept creation, and working with complex, networked systems. Experience with web application realization, particularly using JavaScript, is highly advantageous, alongside fluent German language skills (C1 level) essential for effective communication within the public sector environment.
