Job Summary

This fixed-term, part-time PhD position (75%) focuses on cutting-edge research in Experimental Physics, specifically reactive plasmas and plasma catalysis, starting in January 2026. The successful candidate will investigate the influence of oxygen vacancies on species concentration in a He/n-butane/O₂ plasma combined with catalysts like MnO₂ and BaTiO₃. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting OES characterization of capacitively coupled plasmas and analyzing species concentrations using FTIR. This role is crucial for research supporting the energy transition, aiming to convert industrial off-gases into valuable chemical feedstocks. The position requires a Master's degree in Physics and specialized knowledge of plasma physics, particularly in He/n-butane/O₂ plasma catalysis, culminating in the preparation of scientific publications.
