This fixed-term, part-time PhD Researcher position (75% workload), starting in March 2026 at Ruhr University Bochum, focuses on cutting-edge research in plasma physics and chemistry using advanced laser-based diagnostics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques, including infrared frequency comb spectroscopy and THz spectroscopy, to analyze atomic and molecular species within low-pressure plasmas relevant to industrial processes. Key tasks involve conducting detailed studies to elucidate plasma-chemical processes, determining spectroscopic parameters, and supporting associated plasma modeling efforts. The role requires meticulous documentation, preparation of publications, and presentation of results at international conferences.
