Job Summary
This role involves supporting the investigative activities of the Tax Investigation Department (StraFa) at the Koblenz Tax Office. The IT Specialist will primarily focus on developing case-specific applications and tools to aid tax investigators in their work. A crucial part of the job includes participating in searches and raids to secure digital evidence (digital assets). You will collaborate closely with IT Forensics colleagues, jointly developing strategies for making electronic evidence available for investigations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting workshops and training sessions to educate colleagues on these new solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise in operating systems, networking, software development, and databases, coupled with the willingness to travel for fieldwork as an official expert and investigator for the public prosecution office.

Education
Completed university degree in Computer Science or Informatics
Experience
- Professional experience in modern software development
- Professional experience with various operating systems and IT security
- Experience in handling sensitive data and information
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driving license; Willingness to travel (including short-notice business trips); Must be willing to participate in searches and fieldwork as an investigator/expert witness for the public prosecution office.
