Job Summary

This full-time, 12-month temporary position as a QC Microbiology Laboratory Technician is based on-site in Göttingen, Germany, within the Quality Control LPS & Service department. The successful candidate will join a nine-person team responsible for performing microbiological quality control tests on membranes and filter elements. Key daily duties include independent preparation and execution of experiments, working within a BSL II laboratory environment handling bacteriophages and bacteria, and meticulous documentation of all work steps according to QMS specifications. The role also involves general lab tasks, such as preparing buffers and media, waste disposal, and supporting the qualification and validation of equipment and methods. Candidates must possess vocational training as a biological or chemical technical assistant/laboratory technician, demonstrate systematic and independent work habits, and be willing to undertake shift work or weekend duties.
