Job Summary

This is a leadership role starting August 1, 2026, managing the Construction Execution Section at the Road Construction Office for the districts of Esslingen and Göppingen, located in Kirchheim unter Teck. The Head of Construction Execution will lead a team of six engineering and construction technology staff, overseeing the full lifecycle of construction projects—including new builds, expansions, maintenance, and preservation measures—on approximately 407 km of district roads, cycle paths, and engineering structures. Day-to-day tasks involve comprehensive project management, including planning, coordination, tendering, awarding, supervision, and billing of all construction services. A core responsibility is the strategic management and controlling of an annual road construction budget ranging from €6 to €10 million, alongside developing multi-year road construction programs. Candidates must hold a degree in Civil Engineering or Infrastructure Management and demonstrate strong technical expertise and proven leadership capabilities.
