Job Summary

The Institute for Applied Construction Research (IAB) Weimar is seeking a reliable IT System Administrator to enhance its digital infrastructure and support cutting-edge research. This permanent, full-time role focuses on the management and maintenance of the Windows Domain, including critical services like AD/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies. The administrator will be responsible for guaranteeing system security and stability through continuous monitoring, updates, and upgrades. A key part of the job involves implementing integrated IT solutions in collaboration with institute departments and contributing to the development of IT projects and processes. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or have completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, coupled with proven expertise in virtualization, client/server operating systems, and Microsoft products. Fluency in German (minimum B2 level) and intermediate English (minimum B1 level) are required, along with strong analytical and service-oriented skills.
