Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled (Senior) Data Scientist to join the Central Data Science team, focusing on optimizing biopharmaceutical processes within the SMART Process Design platform. Day-to-day responsibilities involve integrating and adapting both mechanistic and data-driven models, and collaborating closely with product teams and bioprocess experts to enhance platform features. A core function is training and deploying sophisticated machine learning models to simulate and optimize critical bioprocess outcomes, such as titer or purity, thereby accelerating the production of life-saving medicines. The ideal candidate must possess a Master's degree in a relevant technical field and at least five years of hands-on experience utilizing modern ML techniques, Python, and cloud platforms. Success in this position requires strong project management skills, experience working in Scrum environments, and the ability to translate complex domain knowledge into actionable modeling insights.
