Cable Design Engineer | Ingenieur Kabelkonstruktion (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves taking responsibility for the conception, development, and documentation of cable assemblies, specifically within the demanding field of aerospace and space systems. The Cable Design Engineer will utilize 3D-CAD routing, particularly SolidWorks, to design and iterate on electrical wiring systems. Key daily tasks include managing the entire process chain from initial design through manufacturing, quality assurance, and final delivery. The role also requires the creation of technical documentation, such as drawings, bills of materials, and production documents for cable assemblies and auxiliary devices, alongside conducting technical reviews during the development cycle. Candidates must possess a degree or technician qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, coupled with practical experience in developing and designing electrical wiring systems. Excellent German and English skills, along with familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ESA, IPC), are essential for success in this highly responsible and quality-driven position.
