Job Summary

This role is for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology at the University Medicine Frankfurt, working on the LOEWE-funded "LipidSpace" project. The core focus is investigating extracellular vesicles (EV) as signaling carriers in neuropsychiatric disorders, specifically analyzing EV membrane lipids and their function on target cells. Day-to-day responsibilities include the planning, execution, and documentation of complex experiments, including the isolation and characterization of EV, lipid analyses, and various in-vitro assays such as RT-PCR, Western Blot, and flow cytometry. The role also involves microscopic and lipid-imaging investigations, analyzing EV function in neuronal 3D cell culture models, and developing therapeutic applications. Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in a relevant natural science field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, or Pharmacology) and demonstrate a strong interest in neuroscience and pharmacology. Excellent German and English proficiency is required for successful collaboration within this interdisciplinary team, contributing significantly to next-generation medicine.
