IT Systems Administrator, Editorial Systems | Fachinformatiker (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role is for an IT Systems Administrator specializing in Editorial Systems, based in Bonn or Berlin, on a three-year fixed-term contract starting January 2026 or as soon as possible. The administrator will be responsible for the daily administration, support, and maintenance of core editorial production applications (e.g., MediaFileTransfer, VIO, Sony Hive) and their interfaces. Key tasks include creating technical documentation using Jira and Confluence, describing workflows in Adonis and ADO-IT, and participating in technical projects. Candidates must possess a degree in IT or Media Technology, or equivalent professional experience in administering editorial systems. Essential technical skills include experience with Linux (Red Hat) utilizing container technologies like Docker Swarm and Kubernetes, along with basic scripting knowledge for both Microsoft and Linux environments. Success requires strong communication, teamwork, process-oriented thinking, and a commitment to service, including eventual on-call availability. The position offers flexible working models and a challenging environment within an international media company focused on New Work principles.
