Job Summary

This role involves supporting the operations department in the Hannover branch office, focusing primarily on the planning, preparation, awarding, implementation, and settlement of operational and structural maintenance measures for road sections. Key daily tasks include determining necessary repair efforts based on existing road conditions, assessing ancillary facilities and drainage systems, and managing accident damage remediation on the road body. The engineer will be responsible for creating tender documents, executing the procurement process, and maintaining data in strategic and budget programs (SAP, iTWO, MaViS). A crucial aspect of the job is managing hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and waste processes, including taking on the formalized roles of Waste Management Officer and Water Protection Officer. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Road Construction and possesses deep knowledge of procurement, waste, and water protection laws, alongside strong communication and negotiation skills.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH/University) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Road Construction, or comparable technical knowledge and qualifications.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and executing operational/structural maintenance measures
  • Experience with procurement procedures and legal frameworks
  • Professional experience in data maintenance using strategy and budget programs (SAP, iTWO, MaViS would be beneficial)
  • Experience handling processes related to hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and waste
