Job Summary

This position requires an experienced Electronics Engineer to provide essential technical support across several university departments, including Mineral Resources Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Automation/Measurement Technology. The core function involves the hands-on design and implementation of electronic systems. Daily tasks include designing complex electronic circuits featuring semiconductor sensors and microprocessors, and performing multi-layer PCB layout using specialized components (SMD, QFN), with a strong focus on Altium Designer. Responsibilities extend to the assembly, commissioning, and testing of PCBs using professional measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. The engineer will manage external PCB production orders, conduct simple simulations (e.g., shielding and signal routing), and assist with software administration for Altium Designer. Furthermore, the role involves supporting electrical wiring, actuator control, DMS technology applications, and rapid prototyping efforts, including 3D printing mechanical components for sensor and robotics systems. Candidates must possess a Bachelor-level technical qualification or equivalent experience, technical understanding, and fluency in both German and English.
