Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Technical Officer and Client Representative for Electrical Engineering within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) in Berlin. The specialist will manage complex, high-profile federal cultural building projects and research facilities, focusing on the renewal and maintenance of Technical Building Services (TGA-E). Day-to-day tasks include coordinating interdisciplinary TGA project teams, providing expert technical advice on fundamental and challenging issues, drafting performance specifications for planning and engineering firms, reviewing external planning documents and tenders, and ensuring contractors comply with technical standards and contractual obligations. Success requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, deep knowledge of technical regulations (VDE, DIN, AMEV), and expertise in public procurement law (VOB, HOAI). This permanent position offers the chance to contribute to Germany's architectural heritage and complex public infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (University Diploma or Master) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning or execution of technically complex public construction measures
  • Professional experience in architecturally demanding public construction measures
  • Professional experience in building renovation/existing structures
  • Ability for technical guidance and leadership of external planners and internal staff
