Job Summary

This role involves working in a modern Operations & Control Center in Hamburg, focusing on the operational management, maritime surveillance, and fault resolution for an offshore wind farm. The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the remote monitoring of power generation and transmission structures, including planning and executing electrical switching operations up to 155 kV in a 24/7 shift environment. Key daily tasks include coordinating personnel and vessel movements, acting as the primary technical contact for customers, performing initial fault assessments, and coordinating necessary repair missions. The ideal candidate will possess vocational training qualifying them as a skilled electrician, several years of experience in maintenance or commissioning of complex electrical systems, and excellent proficiency in both German and English. This position is crucial for ensuring the reliable and smooth operation of critical energy infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training qualifying as a Skilled Electrician (e.g., Automation/Operational Technology Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or Marine Engineering Technician).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in service technology, maintenance/servicing, or commissioning of complex electrical systems
  • Professional experience in offshore environments (desirable)
  • Maritime background (desirable)

Additional

  • Willingness to work in shifts (day/night shifts, 24/7 operation). Must qualify as a Skilled Electrician (Elektrofachkraft - EFK). Training in maritime surveillance, BZF I or BZF II radio certificate, and SRC marine radio certificate are desirable.
