This role is crucial for driving the digitalization and energy transition in Mülheim an der Ruhr by managing and supervising the expansion of passive fiber optic infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical control and oversight of both municipally funded and proprietary fiber optic projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous site supervision, preparation of service specifications, managing the contract awarding process, and reviewing implementation plans for constructability. A core function is ensuring seamless cooperation between local authorities, engineering firms, contractors, and customers, alongside handling change request management and preparing detailed billing documents for funding bodies. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant Construction Technician qualification, coupled with 2 to 5 years of professional experience and fundamental knowledge of passive fiber optic technology.
