Job Summary

This critical role involves taking responsibility for managing strategically important and economically significant software contracts, including the preparation, execution, and support of contract negotiations. The manager will work closely with internal interfaces (Purchasing, University Administration) and external vendors to ensure compliance with all licensing conditions and internal guidelines within a complex software environment. A core function is the conception, implementation, and strategic development of a holistic Software Asset Management (SAM) system for the entire hospital. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing, maintaining, and consolidating the software portfolio based on usage and economic viability. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant university degree (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience, multi-year professional background in strategic IT or SAM, and profound knowledge of complex software licensing models (On-Premise, Cloud). This position offers a chance to strategically shape and sustainably develop the SAM landscape at a major university hospital.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master or University Diploma) in Economics, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Commercial Law, or a comparable field. Alternatively: Completed vocational training with long-term, relevant professional experience and relevant additional qualifications.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in strategic IT management or comparable control functions
  • Proven focus on Software Asset Management, licensing, and contract management
  • Experience in IT budget planning, control, and process optimization
  • Experience applying SAM frameworks and tools
