Job Summary

This role is ideal for a skilled Java Software Developer looking to actively shape innovative e-Government applications and central IT infrastructures for the Free State of Bavaria. The core focus involves the further development of distributed Java applications, specifically for the school sector, in collaboration with the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture. Day-to-day responsibilities include requirements analysis, documentation, and providing 3rd-level support to specialized users and administrators. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, coupled with strong technical expertise in Java 21, SQL databases, Spring Boot, and Microservice Architectures (REST). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Identity Management protocols (SAML, OpenID Connect), is essential. This is a permanent position offering high flexibility, including up to 80% remote work.
