Job Summary

The City of Nuremberg Fire Department is seeking a dedicated System Administrator to manage, maintain, and advance their critical fire alarm receiving and specialized communication systems. This role involves acting as the primary contact for all inquiries related to the fire alarm reception system, ensuring the seamless operation of the city's fiber optic and copper networks, and resolving technical faults independently. Key responsibilities include precise database management using specialized industry software, detailed documentation, and developing and conducting internal training seminars for fire department personnel. Candidates must possess a relevant technical vocational qualification (e.g., IT Specialist or Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology) and substantial professional experience, particularly in the planning and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The position requires a high degree of responsibility, excellent communication skills (German C1 level), and participation in an on-call rotation for fault resolution outside standard working hours.
