Job Summary

This role involves working as a Development Engineer for IT and Communications systems, focusing on creating modules and models within IP-based networks and IT infrastructure for satellite communication systems, specifically supporting Airbus Defence and Space. The engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle, including analyzing customer requirements, evaluating market solutions, defining necessary system adaptations, and coordinating design proposals with clients. Day-to-day tasks include planning and implementing prototype systems in laboratory environments, conducting on-site integration and verification activities (IT deployment, device installation), and performing customer acceptance tests. Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Communication Technology, initial professional experience in IP networks and IT infrastructure, and fluency in both German and English. Experience with requirement management tools like DOORS and knowledge of SATCOM (especially related to the German Armed Forces) are highly desirable.
