Job Summary
This role seeks an ambitious System Performance Engineer to ensure the stability and optimal performance of complex Infotainment applications. Day-to-day responsibilities involve rigorous monitoring of the operating system, driver configuration, and system startup processes. A core function is the optimization of resource consumption and application performance across overall systems, coupled with proactive error detection and detailed analysis of system crashes, memory leaks, and coredumps. The position requires close collaboration with testing departments and external system software suppliers. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification, routine experience in embedded software development using C/C++, and deep knowledge of Unix operating systems at both Kernel and Userspace levels. Expertise in Android system architecture and performance analysis tools (e.g., perf, ftrace) is essential, alongside strong professional proficiency in both German and English.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, completed training as an IT Specialist, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Routinely experienced in embedded software development with C/C++
- Experience with Kernel-APIs (Ideally)
- Experience in analysis of coredumps, memory leaks, and kernel traces
- Routine handling of performance analysis tools like perf, perfetto, ftrace, and eBPF
