Job Summary

This role involves technical project planning, design, and ongoing support for electrical systems centered around advanced fuel cell technology and energy plants within the naval systems industry. The engineer will be responsible for creating comprehensive technical documentation, including CAD models and circuit diagrams, performing necessary calculations and analyses, and managing documentation databases. A key aspect of the job is supporting research and development initiatives, contributing to contract specifications, and participating in technical/logistical negotiations with external partners. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification, several years of relevant professional experience, and demonstrated proficiency in specialized software like Engineering Base and Teamcenter. This position offers the unique opportunity to work for a leading global provider of submarines and naval vessels, with the flexibility of up to 50% remote work available upon agreement with the department.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification; OR Technical vocational training supplemented by qualification as a Technician.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering or process engineering
  • Professional experience in technical project planning and construction support
  • Experience supporting manufacturing in a naval technology/shipbuilding environment
