IT Service and Support Specialist | Specialist IT Service & Support (m/w/d)

Job Summary

The IT Service and Support Specialist will join a European IT matrix, based at the Alpenrind GmbH facility in Salzburg, responsible for maintaining a modern Helpdesk and support structure. This role focuses on providing 1st and 2nd level support for administration and production environments, handling the reception, evaluation, forwarding, and resolution of incidents related to IT infrastructure support across Austrian units. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software errors, installing and configuring workstations and peripheral devices, and maintaining Helpdesk tools to ensure data quality and IT policy compliance. Furthermore, the specialist will actively support IT projects, managing implementation and communication with all stakeholders, and participating in team-based on-call duty after initial training. Candidates must possess a completed IT education (e.g., apprenticeship or technical college) and basic knowledge of common IT systems. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to support non-technical users, along with the ability to independently analyze and solve IT problems. Excellent German and good English skills are required, making this a secure and permanent role in an innovative company within the food industry.
