This role seeks a passionate Bioinformatician to drive innovation in cancer vaccine research within the Tailored Omics team in Mainz. The core focus involves developing cutting-edge bioinformatics pipelines, specifically emphasizing the integration and analysis of large-scale transcriptomic data (RNA-seq) from cancer cohorts like TCGA. Day-to-day tasks include designing, testing, and optimizing computational tools, performing rigorous statistical analyses, creating data visualizations, and generating comprehensive scientific reports. The position requires a PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field, proven experience in pipeline development, and strong proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and programming languages like R, Python, or Shell scripting.
