IT Infrastructure System Administrator | Informatiker (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves joining the Infrastructure team within the IT division in Freiburg, focusing on maintaining and optimizing enterprise IT systems. The System Administrator will be responsible for continuous monitoring of network performance, servers, storage, backup, and cloud systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and proposing optimization strategies. Key daily activities include analyzing and resolving complex technical incidents and user requests, as well as planning and executing critical infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and integrations. The position requires supporting strategic decisions by creating infrastructure status reports and recommending future upgrades, evaluating new IT infrastructure technologies, and ensuring compliance with security requirements, including participation in internal and external audits. Candidates must possess deep knowledge in server administration (Windows/Linux), networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms, coupled with at least five years of enterprise IT experience and fluency in German and English.
