Job Summary

This role involves planning, controlling, and optimizing maintenance, inspection, and overhaul activities for complex process engineering systems used in thermal waste recovery, particularly focusing on fluidized bed and rotary kiln technologies. The specialist will be responsible for leading technical projects and statutory inspections, managing maintenance budgets, and ensuring cost-optimized operations. Key tasks include detailed scheduling of resources (personnel, materials, spare parts), selecting and optimizing maintenance strategies (e.g., predictive, preventative), and drafting specifications for tenders and procurement. Candidates must possess a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Environmental/Process Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a strong interest in industrial energy technology and thermal waste recovery. Experience in maintenance management and planning for power plant or waste treatment facilities is highly desirable, requiring a structured, responsible, and hands-on approach to work.

Required Skills

Education

Technical degree (University/Applied Sciences or HTL equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Environmental and Process Engineering, Environmental and Climate Protection Technology, Industrial Energy Technology, or similar

Experience

  • Experience in maintenance management is advantageous
  • Knowledge in project management and planning of maintenance activities in power plant and waste treatment facilities is desirable
  • Professional experience in industrial energy technology and thermal waste recovery
