Job Summary

As the Team Lead for "Virtualized Network Architectures and Databases" at Germany's federal cybersecurity agency (BSI), you will be a pivotal and motivating leader, guiding a highly skilled team of ten. Your role involves driving the strategic and organizational advancement of technical analysis capabilities, focusing on secure software-defined networks. You'll conceptualize and create BSI recommendations, reference architectures, and specifications for virtualized network architectures and database systems, alongside conducting security analyses and evaluations. This position offers the chance to develop solutions at the intersection of network security, virtualization, and database technologies, directly contributing to Germany's digital sovereignty. You will manage a state-of-the-art lab environment for in-depth security analyses, assess complex attack scenarios, and develop robust security architectures. This is an exciting opportunity to shape national cybersecurity standards and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Required Skills

Education

University Diploma/Master's degree in a natural science or technical field

Experience

  • At least two years in a leading or managing role within IT infrastructure or information security
  • Demonstrated strong technical and strategic expertise in IT infrastructure or information security
  • Professional experience in project management methodologies
  • Deep expertise in network technologies, especially virtualized network architectures
  • Experience with database systems and their security mechanisms (or willingness to quickly learn)
