Job Summary
The City of Heilbronn is seeking a Project Manager for Grant Management to join its newly established Urban Sustainability Office. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in identifying, applying for, and managing funding for municipal environmental and sustainability initiatives. Your day-to-day will involve researching suitable funding programs at European, national, and state levels, preparing grant applications, and advising internal and external partners on funding opportunities. You will also oversee the administrative management of grants, monitor fund utilization, and ensure timely reporting to funding bodies. This position requires strong networking and communication skills to build collaborations and create synergies between various projects and partners, acting as a central point of contact for grant providers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to future-oriented urban development and climate protection in a growing, interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Environmental Sciences, Administrative Sciences, Business Administration, European Studies, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Proven experience in acquiring and managing grants
- Ideally, experience in a municipal or public context
- In-depth knowledge of relevant funding programs in the environmental and sustainability sector
- Expertise in grant application procedures

- This is a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2028. The position can be filled on a full-time or part-time basis. Open to full-time equivalent part-time and tandem applications. Preference given to severely disabled persons with equal suitability.
