Job Summary

Join the Data Evaluation Center (DAZ) of the North Rhine-Westphalia Justice Department in Hamm as an IT Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, evaluation, and analysis of statistical data for the justice system, including judicial business statistics and personnel overviews. A key part of your day-to-day will involve maintaining and developing technical processes, often in collaboration with external service providers. You will work with multidimensional Microsoft Analysis Services-Cubes based on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Enterprise, importing data from various sources like Oracle, MySQL, and Flat Files into a multi-stage database model. The position also involves monitoring data deliveries, ensuring data quality through ETL processes, and generating automated reports. You will also provide conceptual and strategic IT advice to DAZ management and ensure ongoing documentation of technical processes. Required Skills

Education

Completed relevant university degree (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist or similar.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT, preferably with a focus on data analysis and database management
  • Relevant experience with OLAP data cubes and general database structures, including their creation and maintenance

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • Unrestricted work permit for Germany. Ability to work in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia. Possibility of full-time or part-time work. Telework options available to a certain extent. This is a permanent position, though an initial one-year probationary period may apply depending on prior employment.
